Great March Releases to Take Your Mind Out of the Present and Into the Past

March 2020 is just FULL of amazing historical romance releases, and really, could now BE a better time for it?! So I've compiled a list of the ones that I am the MOST excited for! Before we dive into this list I do have one sad announcement to make - although First Comes Scandal by Julia Quinn was originally set to release on two different dates this March, now the release date has been updated to late April. But feat not! Because there are tons of other great books available! Also, is March 31st our lucky day or something, because three great titles come out that day?! Which one will you read first??? Well, happy reading!

The Duke's Wicked Wife by Elizabeth Bright

Wicked Secrets #4

March 16th, 2020

I have to admit, I was seduced by the cover of this one - isn't it stunning?! I have not yet read Elizabeth Bright yet, and I'm diving in to book 4, but I can't help myself! This one is next on my TBR and I can't wait. As I said, the cover pulled me in, but the synopsis convinced me to click buy (I mean, it has a SEBASTIAN)! Have you read this one yet?! I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Sebastian Sinclair, the Duke of Wessex, is not in love with Eliza Benton—nor anyone else, for that matter. But he must marry and produce an heir, and love is not required for either. His future duchess must be of high birth and good nature, a lady unlikely to snipe at him over breakfast. In short, the complete opposite of Eliza. So who better to help him find a bride? Eliza Benton is not in love with the Duke of Wessex. He’s infuriating, arrogant, and an ass of the first order. Not that she has any intention of marrying anyone now that her secret dream is on the cusp of becoming reality. A husband would ruin all her careful plans. But she’s all for finding her nemesis the perfect bride, anything to get him from underfoot so she can focus on her writing. Thank goodness Sebastian and Eliza aren’t in love. That would be disastrous.

In Bed with the Earl by Christi Caldwell

Lost Lords of London #1

March 17th, 2020

Oooo, gosh, the muted tones of this cover are giving me all the mystery vibes that the synopsis promises! Read if yourself below and I think you'll agree! Plus, this book is FREE on Kindle Unlimited right now, so Kindle readers, lucky you, because this one is available now! What are you waiting for?!

To solve a mystery that’s become the talk of the ton, no clues run too deep for willful reporter Verity Lovelace. Not even in the sewers of London. That’s precisely where she finds happily self-sufficient scavenger Malcom North, lost heir to the Earl of Maxwell. Now that Verity’s made him front-page news, what will he make of her? Kidnapped as a child, with no memories of his well-heeled past, Malcom prefers the grimy spoils of the culverts to the gilded riches of society. Damn the feisty beauty who exposed the contented tosher to a parade of fortune-hunting matchmakers. How to keep them at bay? Verity must pretend to be his wife. She owes him. The intimacy of this necessary arrangement—Verity and Malcom thrust together in close quarters—soon sparks an irresistible heat. But when the charade ends, the danger begins. Will love be enough to protect them from a treacherous plot devised to ruin them?

The Inevitable Fall of Christopher Cynster by Stephanie Laurens

Cynsters Next Generation Series Book 8

March 19th, 2020

For fans of the Cynster Series, Stephanie Laurens keeps them coming with the next generation! Full disclosure, I haven't read them all, but I know that of the 28 Cynster books, there's a bunch that I have read! And if you're a Cynster fan, take a look at the next in the series below!

Christopher Cynster has finally accepted that to have the life he wants, he needs a wife, but before he can even think of searching for the right lady, he’s drawn into an investigation into the distribution of counterfeit banknotes.

London born and bred, Ellen Martingale is battling to preserve the fiction that her much-loved uncle, Christopher’s neighbor, still has his wits about him, but Christopher’s questions regarding nearby Goffard Hall trigger her suspicions. As her younger brother attends card parties at the Hall, she feels compelled to investigate.

While Ellen appears to be the sort of frippery female Christopher abhors, he quickly learns that, in her case, appearances are deceiving. And through the twists and turns in an investigation that grows ever more serious and urgent, he discovers how easy it is to fall in love, while Ellen learns that love hasn’t, after all, passed her by.

But then the villain steps from the shadows, and love’s strengths and vulnerabilities are put to the test—just as Christopher has always feared. Will he pass muster? Can they triumph? Or will they lose all they’ve so recently found?

An Heiress to Remember by Maya Rodale

The Gilded Age Girls Club #3

March 31st, 2020

We've not only talked about this book on our show, but we got to share an amazing audio rendition of a scene in one of our episodes! (Listen here)! So if you weren't excited for this one before listening, I would bet on it that you are after! Maya Rodale is fabulous at writing fierce, feminist heroines, and I am so looking forward to this one! And I'm also in love with that pink and black cover - what a showstopper! So check out the synopsis below:

Uptown Heiress Once a society darling, Beatrice Goodwin has returned to Manhattan in a cloud of scandal. She is determined to save the bankrupt family business—Goodwin’s Department Store—and transform it into the shopping destination for Manhattan’s women. She will certainly never, ever sell it to Wes Dalton. Downtown Rogue Wes Dalton came from nowhere to possess one of the great fortunes of the Gilded Age, thanks to his premier department store located opposite Goodwin’s. This “Merchant Prince” never forgot the girl who got away—or her parents who made it clear that he’d never be rich, powerful or respectable enough. He has sworn revenge—until Beatrice’s return complicates everything. Happy ever after at last . . . ? Now Goodwin’s and Dalton’s are dueling to be the best department store in Manhattan. Beatrice and Wes will stop at nothing to impress, and not even the sparks flying between them will get in the way of their fierce rivalry. They’re competitors by day and lovers by night, until they’re forced to choose what is sweeter: revenge, success or happy ever after at last.

But besides that, this book has a super fun synopsis PLUS it's the start of a new series by the fabulous Vivienne Lorret. I think the hardest thing about March 31st is going to be picking which new release to read first!! Also, any Arrested Development fans out there? Because all I want to do is yell....LORD HOLT!
